Water bottles are one of the worst single-use plastics, yet can easily be replaced or avoided. We have provided guidelines for organisers and have worked closely with vendors to ensure that this is an event devoid of plastic and other pesky culprits that are clogging up our oceans. Ocean Pledge’s Blue Event project aims to eliminate single-use plastic from this year’s S.A. The event is taking place at Lamberts Bay from 25-29 April 2018. This year, Ocean Pledge is partnering with the GB SA Longboarding Champs, to create a surf event with a bit of a difference. That together all these intentions will enable us to Enjoy the ocean for generations to come.
